Glu Mobile Inc. announced the availability of its World Series of Poker Hold’em Legend Application for iPhone and iPod touch this week.

2010 World Series of Poker Schedule Announced
The schedule for the 2010 World Series of Poker (WSOP) was officially announced on Thursday and features a brand new $50,000 buy-in Player’s Championship that will play out in an Eight Game format. Fifty-seven bracelets will be on the line.

Bob Thompson, the World Series of Poker tournament director from 1999-2002, passed away on Sunday. He was 80 years old.
WSOP Circuit – Harrah’s Atlantic City Stop Begins Friday
The final World Series of Poker Circuit event for 2009 begins on Friday, Dec. 4 at Harrah’s Atlantic City in New Jersey. The tournament series will feature 17 events, and the $5,000 no-limit hold’em championship will run Dec. 13-15. The series concludes on Dec. 20 with a $1,100 satellite for the 2010 WSOP. Last year, Brent Roberts beat 178 opponents in the $5,000 no-limit hold’em championship to take home the top prize worth $280,040.
Binion’s Hotel To Close
Las Vegas’s famed Binion’s Hotel & Casino, the home of the WSOP from 1970-2005, has announced the closure of its hotel business due to the effects of the current economic climate. Being situated off-strip and lacking the pizazz and over-the-top themes of many of its rivals, Binions was always likely to struggle in modern Vegas but the news still comes as a shock.
WSOP Main Event Runner-Up Darvin Moon to be Featured During Patriots/Saints Game
On Monday night, Week 12 of the National Football League (NFL) will conclude with the 7-3 New England Patriots visiting Louisiana to take on the undefeated New Orleans Saints. Featured during the game will be 2009 World Series of Poker (WSOP) Main Event runner-up Darvin Moon.
