Every player that made the final day of the tournament was a professional and two of them were former WPT champions. An enthusiastic crowd filled the audience and excitement hung in the air before the final table.

Doyle Brunson Classic Championship Day 4
Day 4 at the World Poker Tour Five-Diamond Doyle Brunson World Poker Classic saw a field of 36 players return and none of them were in a rush. The field meandered down to the money bubble, and then play continued forward slowly. By the end of the night 16 players still remained, and they will return at noon PST tomorrow to play down to the final television table of six.

It took only nine hours to go from 130 players to 36 at the WPT Doyle Brunson Five Diamond Poker Classic at the Bellagio and when the dust settled Daniel Alaei, Steven Landfish and Josh Arieh were the only three players with over one million chips.
Toto Leonidas Leading Doyle Brunson Five Diamond Classic
Toto Leonidas made Tuesday his day at the World Poker Tour Doyle Brunson Five Diamond Poker Classic at Bellagio. Leonidas finished Day 2 with 355,000 chips which puts him just ahead of the 340,000 of Sorel Mizzi.
L.A. Poker Classic 2010 Schedule Released
Commerce Casino has released the full schedule for the 2010 L.A. Poker Classic, and the tournament series will feature 51 events that will run from late January until the end of the World Poker Tour $10,000 no-limit hold’em championship on March 4. The LAPC will also once again host the WPT Celebrity Invitational, which begins on Feb. 20. The final table of the invitational will take place on March 3, which allows the final-table contestants in the championship event to rest for one day.
WPT – Doyle Brunson Classic Championship – Day 1
Roughly 200 players were on hand for the start of the 2009 World Poker Tour Doyle Brunson Classic Championship on Monday, but by the end of the day, the field size had grown to 292, 205 shy of 2008’s numbers. The difference this year is that registration will still be open through level 8, which will take place around 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
Bwin Downplays Party Gaming Merger Talks
Party Gaming and Austria-based gambling group Bwin are allegedly involved in merger discussions, according to stories published in The Times and Sunday Times over the weekend. The move would potentially create a £2 billion online poker, casino, and sports betting company.
