Ryan D’Angelo can’t be too disappointed about missing the World Championship of Online Poker (WCOOP) bracelet ceremony today. The online poker pro known as “g0lfa” on Stars was one of the three players in the 2009 WCOOP who won two different events.
PCA: Praz Bansi Runs Away with the Chip Lead
Day Two of the PCA was a day for moving and shaking. Of the 1,529 players who took part in this year’s event, only 884 returned for the second day of tournament play. The dust has yet to settle on the day, but it appears as though less than 300 remain in the field.
PokerStars Caribbean Adventure — Day 1B
The question on everyone’s mind at the start of day 1B at the 2010 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure wasn’t if this year’s field would beat the previous record of 1,347 players. The question was by how many players last year’s mark would fall. The final answer came when the official number of players was released late in the day. The 2010 PCA field stands at 1,515 players. The official prize pool has not been released yet, but the eventual champion will walk away with a massive first-place prize worth more than $3 million on Monday, Jan. 11.

When PokerStars announced this year’s PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) was going to be a festival of poker, they weren’t kidding. It is just the first day of more than a week’s worth of poker at the Atlantis Resort on Paradise Island in the Bahamas and the action is already underway at a hectic pace.
PokerStars Caribbean Adventure Day 1A Attracts 668 Entrants
Day 1A of the 2010 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) Main Event attracted a starting grid of 668 entrants. The official number from the world’s largest online poker site was passed down around 3:30pm local time in the Bahamas.
