PCA: Reynolds Defeats Molson in High Rollers Event

The theme of today’s High Rollers final table was second chances. Several of the players have had their fair share of EPT success before, but they all came up just short of the win. Adolfo Vaeza, a businessman from Uruguay, came close to High Rollers victory in London, but busted out in 4th place while Matt Glantz went on to victory. William Reynolds from Iowa has a 4th place showing at both San Remo and Monte Carlo last season, but no victory to his name. Will Molson has even been in this exact position before, finishing as the runner-up to Bertrand “ElKy” Grospellier at the PCA last year.

PCA: High Roller Final Table

The Main Event of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure may be over and done, but the poker action is far from over on Paradise Island. A number of players stuck around Atlantis after Harrison Gimbel’s big victory on Monday and have been taking part in the remaining side events, including the prestigious $25,000 buy-in High Roller tournament.

PCA High Roller Championship – Day 2

Coming into day 2 of the PokerStars Caribbean Adventure High Roller Championship, Dario Minieri was listed as the overall chip leader, just a chip or two ahead of another big stack in Lex Veldhuis. But when the players returned Tuesday afternoon to continue play, Veldhuis discovered that he had miscounted his chips and in fact, was the overnight chip leader.

PCA: Harrison Gimbel Youngest Main Event Champ Ever

The PokerStars Caribbean Adventure (PCA) has built up a reputation over the years as being a proving ground for up and coming internet poker pros aiming to cut their teeth into the live poker scene. This year’s final table had a number of young and talented candidates eager to earn the title of PCA champion. After veteran live pro Barry Shulman, the next oldest player was 25 years old.

The Money Bubble Burst and then the Field Quickly Played Down to 63

Day 3 at the 2010 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure welcomed a group of 280 players back to their seats this afternoon and the first stretch of play was dominated by the money bubble. The bubble hit during the second level of play and it took a long time before John Leathart was busted by Justin Bonomo in 225th place to burst the bubble. Most of the field had tightened up during the process, so 45 minutes was added to the tournament clock once the money was reached so the players could get the correct amount of play for the level.

PCA: Praz Bansi Runs Away with the Chip Lead

Day Two of the PCA was a day for moving and shaking. Of the 1,529 players who took part in this year’s event, only 884 returned for the second day of tournament play. The dust has yet to settle on the day, but it appears as though less than 300 remain in the field.

PokerStars Caribbean Adventure — Day 1B

The question on everyone’s mind at the start of day 1B at the 2010 PokerStars Caribbean Adventure wasn’t if this year’s field would beat the previous record of 1,347 players. The question was by how many players last year’s mark would fall. The final answer came when the official number of players was released late in the day. The 2010 PCA field stands at 1,515 players. The official prize pool has not been released yet, but the eventual champion will walk away with a massive first-place prize worth more than $3 million on Monday, Jan. 11.

PCA: Bentley, Filippi and Saul Headline Day 1A Field
