Faraz Jaka Leads Star-Studded Doyle Brunson Five Diamond Final Table
The final World Poker Tour event of 2009 might just qualify for the best final table of the year. Faraz Jaka will start play on Saturday with the chip lead but there are three WSOP bracelet holders, a former WPT event winner and an online superstar all chasing him down.
Doyle Brunson Classic Championship Day 4
Day 4 at the World Poker Tour Five-Diamond Doyle Brunson World Poker Classic saw a field of 36 players return and none of them were in a rush. The field meandered down to the money bubble, and then play continued forward slowly. By the end of the night 16 players still remained, and they will return at noon PST tomorrow to play down to the final television table of six.

It took only nine hours to go from 130 players to 36 at the WPT Doyle Brunson Five Diamond Poker Classic at the Bellagio and when the dust settled Daniel Alaei, Steven Landfish and Josh Arieh were the only three players with over one million chips.
Five-Diamond World Poker Classic Tournament Series Preview
The last major tournament series of the year will begin on Friday, Nov. 27, when cards get into the air for the 2009 Five-Diamond World Poker Classic at Bellagio. The first event is a $500 no-limit hold’em event that is sponsored by SpadeClub.com. The tournament series will host a total of 18 events and the games spread will include no-limit hold’em, Omaha eight-or-better, pot-limit Omaha, and H.O.R.S.E. The tournament series will conclude with the World Poker Tour Doyle Brunson Classic $15,000 no-limit hold’em championship that begins on Monday, Dec. 14 and crowns a champion on Saturday, Dec. 19.
