The final table at the World Poker Tour Five-Diamond Doyle Brunson World Poker Classic took place on Saturday at Bellagio and it was loaded with talent. Every player that made the final day of the tournament was a professional and two of them were former WPT champions. An enthusiastic crowd filled the audience and excitement hung in the air before the final table.

Day 4 at the World Poker Tour Five-Diamond Doyle Brunson World Poker Classic saw a field of 36 players return and none of them were in a rush. The field meandered down to the money bubble, and then play continued forward slowly. By the end of the night 16 players still remained, and they will return at noon PST tomorrow to play down to the final television table of six.

It took only nine hours to go from 130 players to 36 at the WPT Doyle Brunson Five Diamond Poker Classic at the Bellagio and when the dust settled Daniel Alaei, Steven Landfish and Josh Arieh were the only three players with over one million chips.
Toto Leonidas Leading Doyle Brunson Five Diamond Classic
Toto Leonidas made Tuesday his day at the World Poker Tour Doyle Brunson Five Diamond Poker Classic at Bellagio. Leonidas finished Day 2 with 355,000 chips which puts him just ahead of the 340,000 of Sorel Mizzi.

Binion’s Hotel To Close
Las Vegas’s famed Binion’s Hotel & Casino, the home of the WSOP from 1970-2005, has announced the closure of its hotel business due to the effects of the current economic climate. Being situated off-strip and lacking the pizazz and over-the-top themes of many of its rivals, Binions was always likely to struggle in modern Vegas but the news still comes as a shock.
