Offcourse you can just play on your dining room table but if start planning on playing a poker home game reguarly the a poker table top or if you are really a pro a standalone poker table is something you should have. A poker table top is normally made of wood with a green felt on top of it. The table tops come in a variety of sizes but the most common are the oval table tops and the octagon poker table tops. These table tops are a nice way to start with price ranges from $20 to $100. If you are more seriously about your home game than a standalone pokertable is the absolute way to go. But don´t think these pokertables are very expensive. There are foldable poker tables that can be bought for less than $200 but if you have your own poker room than you can go crazy with poker tables up to $5000.
